THE CASK IS KING - BLACKADDER

A simple philosophy. Cask is King - Rely on the cask do it’s work and add complex flavors to the whisky during the aging process.

Cask sediment is what makes our raw cask whiskies unique and sipped passionately by whisky enthusiasts worldwide.

We keep the process as natural as possible. They let the personalities of the whiskies shine through

We never chill filtered or color added to the whisky.

Blackadder doesn't tamper with their whiskies to intentionally allow the organic flavor portfolio to fully mature. They bottle each Blackadder whisky once it achieves a fully rounded flavor.

All Blackadder whiskies are bottled as single cask (most at cask strength)

The Tucek family has been independently bottling since 1995. Their deep connections to the distilling world in Scotland and around the world, ensures access to the finest, most unique and rarest of whiskies.

AMRUT SITS BETWEEN
KENTUCKY AND SCOTLAND

IN TERMS OF AGING

With over 48% of the world’s whisky consumed in India, it’s not a coincidence that India also produces some of the world’s most innovative and appreciated spirits.

AMRUT produced the very first Indian Single Malt Whisky - to the exacting standards of Scottish Whisky

The climate in India is drastically different than that of Scotland, making the angel’s share much higher with 3-4 times the evaporation rates. Because of this, distillers in India were tasked with finding a way to produce whiskies that rival those produced in Scotland without the luxury of a slow, steady maturation phase. Amrut masterfully embraced this challenge and created their Greedy Angels limited-edition spirit, capturing 30 years of maturity after only 10 years of aging. It is one of the most exclusive spirits on the market and is sought after by whisky connoisseurs worldwide.

Amrut Triparva - Triple Distilled, extra smooth

AMRUT TRIPARVA IS TRIPLE DISTILLED- WHAT EXACTLY DOES THAT MEAN?

According to Whisky Advocate, triple-distilled whiskey is common in Ireland and is even found at some American and Scottish distilleries. Through Triparva, Amrut is officially the first distillery using this method in all of India. The definition of triple distilling is when a spirit is distilled three times in a pot still before going to barrels for maturation. Typically, the spirit is distilled in a copper pot still and this results in a lighter, smooth spirit.

By adding an intermediate still in between the wash and spirit stills, the distiller is able to separate out any unwanted flavor compounds. This process has been extremely common in Ireland and Scotland and Amrut is bringing the method to India with this exciting new spirit. Whiskies that go through this extra stage in the distillation process are often described as extremely smooth because of the extra step.

With Amrut Triparva, every aspect of the whisky-making remains the same except for the number of times they distill the single malt. Because of this, those who are avid fans of Amrut spirits will likely notice a slight but distinct difference in the flavor profiles of double versus triple distilled whisky.

According to Ashok Chokalingam, the head distiller at Amrut, this latest addition completes the course. Along with other whiskies like Amrut Spectrum (multiple oak wood barrel single malt) and Naarangi (a single malt with orange influence), Triparva is an uncompromisingly innovative single malt whisky.
