We use the heat of Bangalore, India, where temperatures vary between 15c in the winter and up to 34c in the summer, enhancing our flavor pallet. Humidity often ranges between 30% and 79%, so our evaporation rate is wildly accelerated, reaching a rate of 10-12%/year compared to Scotland’s paltry 2-3%.

Over Amrut’s most common maturation period of ~5 years, we lose 50% of every cask.

With this unique environment, Amrut whiskies mature 3 times faster than in Scotland. You’ll find a very similar profile between a 12-year-old Scotch Single Malt whisky and Amruts 4-year-old Single Malt Whisky.
