ADOLFO J. VILAFRANCA - A Family Tradition

Under Adolfo’s leadership, Destilerías Xoriguer remains distilling Gin de Mahón following the traditional method initially introduced by the British more than 300 hundred years back. His Passion for craft spirits which have a soul of their own, keeps him involved in every aspect and stage of the distilling process. His tenacity at work and love for the family brand have enabled Mahón Gin from Xoriguer evolve from a local tourist favourite to exporting worldwide by gaining international recognition.

Xoriguer Distillery was established in 1945 as a familly business. His founder, Miguel Pons-Justo decided to buy a building on the bay of Mahón, Menorca, a traditional area used by entrepeneurs and craft businesses on the island. The location today is still the same. Tradition at Xoriguer also says that a member of the familly must be the CEO. Since 2011 Adolfo J. Vilafranca, husband of one of the members of the 3dr generation runs Xoriguer with energy and passion.
